ABOUT FINLAY:
Finlay is a freelance musician and tutor and has been playing on the Scottish folk music scene for many years.
As Senior Tutor at Glasgow Fiddle Workshop (GFW) he teaches fiddle, ukulele and guitar and also offers private tuition in fiddle, ukulele, guitar and mandolin at his home in the West End of Glasgow.
Cloud Howe Ceilidh Band is highly rated on the dance band and ceilidh scene with Finlay as fiddler and dance caller.
His latest project is in a duo with Jimmy Ross presenting and performing scripted illustrated shows on a variety of topics.
He has many years experience as a school teacher and traditional music tutor.
His Ukulele School and Ukulele Workshops at Celtic Connections are sell-out attractions every year and he has taken his workshops far and wide. Finlay played for many years as a member of the highly respected folk group Stramash with some of Scotland’s finest traditional singers.
